About Tom and his siblings were left under the care of their grandmother after the mother abandoned them. He now lives with his grandmother, his two siblings, uncle, aunt and his cousins. His father is around but he does not offer any support to them. The grandmother is a small scale farmer but due to drought the farm is doing poorly as they are no crops to harvest or even sell. He is a hardworking boy and his favorite subject is Biology. In future he would like to be a doctor.
