About Ann lives with her mother in a remote area of Bahati. Her father passed away, leaving her mother as the sole breadwinner for the family. Without a permanent job, her mother relies on casual labor to make ends meet. Due to financial difficulties, Ann joined high school late and has been frequently in and out of school because of unpaid fees. Her mother works hard to gather whatever she can to keep Ann in school, but it has been a constant struggle. Ann's elder brother also takes on casual jobs to assist in paying her school fees. Despite their combined efforts, the money they earn often barely covers their basic needs. Ann is a determined and hopeful girl, aspiring to break the cycle of poverty and become a doctor in the future. She is optimistic that with the support of a sponsor, she can secure a stable education and achieve her dreams.
